Monica Bernar is a graduate of the Academy of Arts in the city of Lviv, Ukraine where she majored in Fashion Design. Her creative works are accentuated by ideas and themes that provide an impetus for varied interpretations through personal association. Her art is mystical and romantic, imbued with thought, depth, symbolism and allusion.
Her creative work spans Elizabethan fashion to contemporary fashion wear with a passion for small details with alternate techniques like printing and embroidery as accenting characteristics of her work.
Inspired by literature, art and philosophy, Ms. Bernar creates archetypes of modern images reflective of current affairs that include environment, politics and social inequality that allow her audience to stand on higher ground creating a platform for discussion and criticism.
